It can't be me. I was only 5 in 1974

Recreating Jeff Wayne's Esso music got me thinking about another favourite theme - namely his music for LBC News Radio from the seventies & eighties. Lots of memories of my early days in commercial radio; GB in Newport, Red Dragon in Cardiff & Beacon Radio and BRMB in the West Midlands.

Lots of people, for whatever reason, kept off air cassette recordings of radio stations from way back when, and thank goodness they did because now, via the internet, distant memories can be made real.

Here's one I 'found' from 1974. An LBC promo marking the introduction of Jeff Wayne's classic score.
